Sonnet about Jan 6 Insurrection
“MAGA in the court of Janteloven”
Tobias Creed has given lots of thought
to all the policies we should enact,
the principles of governance untaught.
Are Taxes Theft?! We’ve all been duped and tracked.
Oh, pity paranoid Tobias Creed
for living all the time with looming fears,
restrained to secrecy in word and deed —
a threatened life in worlds between his ears.
Tobias Creed — a neighbor, friend, or kin —
he suffers most, a misanthropic sod.
He lashes out, but take it on the chin;
the press with vigor breaks this type’s facade.
“You’re not to think you know more than we do —
and don’t you think we know some things about you?”
